Frederick J. Duzzie of Highland, passed away October 14, 2021 at 78 years of age.

Beloved husband of Nancy for 55 years. Loving father of Pamela (Edward) Bucki, Susanna (Ken) Deming and the late Thomas Duzzie. Proud grandfather of John, Sarah, Nicholas, Hannah and Michael. He is also survived by many friends especially his club of eight, lovingly referred to as the "Dinner Group" along with his lifelong friend Al Andreini, whom he met as a freshman at Boysville High School.

Mr. Duzzie retired from K-Mart Headquarters after 35 years of dedicated service and was an active member at Church of the Holy Spirit. Among his many hobbies, he enjoyed boating, fishing, water skiing, playing cards and traveling. He liked to design and build things and was especially proud of all the quality time he spent doing so with his two son-in-laws. His greatest joy of all was spending time with his grandchildren either playing games, swimming, boating or simply just visiting. He will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Church of the Holy Spirit, 3700 Harvey Lake Road in Highland. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and Tuesday at church from 10:00am until the time of the mass at 11:00am. There will be a rosary service at the funeral home on Monday evening at 6:00pm. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.

Memorial contributions suggested to the American Heart Association or the National Marfan Foundation.

My condolences to the Family and Friends on the loss of Fred.

I knew and worked with Fred like many at Kmart during our 30 plus years at the company.

Fred's likable and funny demeanor as well as smile made handling tax matters even across the different aspects of corporate taxation for the company most enjoyable and rewarding.

Fred and his Family will be in my thoughts and prayers especially during this time of loss.

Fred and I were in the Tax department at Kmart and worked together for over 27 years. He was a valued friend and associate.
He had an unquestioned reputation as a professional and as a truthful person.
if you counted him as a friend, he was in for the run, and his loyalty was without question.
There are many stories of Fred and his exploits opposing the various Taxing authorities across the country and ... they are all true.!!
He was a great friend.

Today my world was shattered. My father was always such a huge light in my life. Thank you dad for your constant support and help, for always believing in me, loving me, teaching me, and guiding me. I do not know how I will go forth without you by my side but because of you I have my strong faith and know that you are no longer suffering, that you are at peace in a better place and that you are still with us. You have always been my greatest hero and I will love you forever. I am so thankful God blessed my life with you.
