Harold D.Brown, age 89 of Zephyrhills, FL, formerly of Ortonville, MI, passed away on April 24, 2018. Harold was a devout Christian who loved his family and his Lord. He worked at General Motors in Pontiac, Michigan for over 25 years. He retired in 1974 and then moved to warmer weather with Alice to Florida. After retiring, he became very active in the local community volunteering and serving in various positions at church and at his local community. He organized various day trips, breakfasts, dinners for fellow seniors and provided construction insight to his local community. Harold loved to travel and saw many sights across the USA, Hawaii, Alaska, the Caribbean and Europe. Due to his love of people and hugging them, he became known as Huggie. Harold is survived by his wife Alice; his children: Roxanna, Richard, Bonnie, Raymond, Kenneth, Keith, Ronald and Kevin; 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren 3 great-great-grandchildren; his siblings Melburn Brown, Beverly Coin and Janet Bailey. He was preceded in death by his daughter Brenda Dees. The funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black and Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Rd., Highland. Visitation will be on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Interment will be in Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Novi, MI.
