Heather Lea Taylor

November 13, 1965November 23, 2021

Heather Lea Taylor, age 56, of Highland, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Ascension Providence Hospice in Novi. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons: Derric (Kyra Uhlian) Taylor, and Devin Taylor; her partner of ten years, Paul Zalac; her step-daughter, Sophia Zalac; and her brother, Eric (Cindy Mills) Bauknecht.

Heather was born November 13, 1965, in Cincinnati, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Ronald and Virginia (Miles) Bauknecht. Heather worked as a project manager for a number of companies throughout her adult life; most recently, she was a valued employee at Nachi Robotics. In her free time, Heather could always be found rummaging around garage sales, or going “roadside treasure hunting” for items she could restore and refurbish. She had a great passion for interior design and furniture restoration. She also really enjoyed spending time at the beach; although she wasn’t much of a swimmer, she loved to be by the water! Most of all, Heather loved to spend time with her family and close friends. She was a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed.

Heather was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Virginia.

In accordance with Heather’s wishes, cremation has taken place. No public services have been scheduled.

Heather came into our lives when she was just a little girl, my gosh and what a joy she was. Big, beautiful eyes and a bright smile. She grew into a beautiful woman, a great mother and was so passionate about seeing all the wonders of the world. We will truly miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Heather was an absolute gem and her spirit lives on forever! She always had a smile for everyone and would lend a hand to anyone in need. When she entered a room, she brightened it. All of us at Nachi already miss her terribly both personally as she was so liked and professionally as she was great at her job.

May God's peace that passes all understanding rest heavily forever upon her dear family.
