Henry Donald Block, born December 30, 1930, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on September 29, 2025. He was a loving brother, uncle, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather.
Henry was preceded in death by Pat (wife of 38 years), Donny (son), Corrine and Lenore (sisters), mother, father, and grandparents.
Henry began working for a paper company in Detroit, MI, at the age of 14. He then sold papers at the Michigan Central Station before joining the Army Rangers from 1948 to May 1952. He earned several awards and medals, including Good Conduct Medals, a Korean Service Medal with 3 bronze stars, 10 Overseas Service Bars, United Nations Service Medal, Army of Occupation, and Commendation Medal and Combat Infantry. Upon his return home, Henry worked for the Ford Wixom Plant until 1989.
Henry had a great life, and may he rest in peace.
