Henry Glen Finley, age 82, of Holly, died Monday, April 12, 2021, at the MediLodge of Rochester Hills. Left to cherish his memory are his two children: Lucinda “Cindy” (Robert) Haag, and Brian (Jeannette) Finley; his four grandchildren: Michelle (Jeremy), Brenda, Kali, and Kiah; his 2 great grandchildren; his three siblings: Dolly Maynard, Lindsey (Bernice) Finley, and Gaylord Finley; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.
Glen was born March 27, 1939, in Dunlow, West Virginia, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Henry and Alta Mae (Williamson) Finley. Glen worked as a heavy equipment operator at B&V Construction and other companies for over twenty years, until his retirement in 1996. In his free time, Glen loved to garden, go hunting and fishing, and spend time with his family and friends. He was a wonderful man who will be missed by many.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Alta Mae; and his four siblings: Blanche Stevens, Drusie Buck, Roberta “Bertie” Daugherty, and Troy “Don” Finley.
A funeral service will take place for Glen at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home Highland Chapel, 3295 East Highland Road, Highland, Michigan 48356. Glen’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm. In accordance with Glen’s wishes, cremation will follow.
