Jane was born on February 8, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to John and Gertrude (Haddas) Templeton. She worked for the City of Detroit as an administrative assistant. She also drove a school bus for the Huron Valley School System, transporting many kids to and from school each day. In her later years Jane worked as a greeter and eventually retired from Elton Black and Son Funeral Home, where families and visitors were comforted by her friendly presence and genuine kindness.
Jane lived on White Lake and enjoyed the water. On occasion, she would give her friends and family a ride around the lake in her pontoon boat.
A devoted woman of faith, Jane was a member of St. Mary Our Lady of the Snows Church in Milford. Her faith guided her throughout her life and was reflected in the compassion, generosity, and grace she showed to everyone she met.
Above all, Jane will be remembered for her sweet and caring personality. She possessed a rare kindness that made others feel welcome, valued, and loved.
