Jay "Jaybird" Aaron Young, age 43, of Waterford and formerly of Highland, passed away December 22, 2019. Loving brother of Anthony (Jean) Young. Treasured uncle of Zoe and Annabelle. Cherished grandson of Concetta Pirozek. Dear stepson of Eve Kelley. Proud nephew and cousin of many. Jay was preceded in passing by his parents, Kenneth and Lynn Young; grandparents, Dale and Donna Young, John Dewar and Stan Pirozek; and his dog, Roxie.
Jay was an avid carnival ride enthusiast. He enjoyed going to Zap Zone and Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum, playing music and dancing to the Chicken Dance whenever it was on. Cops was his all-time favorite show. Most importantly, Jay loved spending time with his family, staff and roommates.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 27, 2019 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm (Knights of Columbus Rosary 7:00pm) at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road, Highland. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 11:00am (In State 10:00am) at Church of the Holy Spirit, 3700 Harvey Lake Road, Highland.
