John Lewis Mason

John Lewis Mason, age 69, of Highland, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023, at his home. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Gwen; his two daughters: Shannon Sackman, and Spring (Brandon) Stocker; his beloved granddaughter, Jorgi (Joseph Kraus) Stocker; his sister-in-law, Cathy Mason; his niece, Shann; his nephew, Chris; and many others who loved him dearly.

John was born August 12, 1953, in Wyandotte, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Mason. During his life, he worked predominantly as a coin dealer, and enjoyed the many friendships he made throughout this career. John also owned several other small businesses. When John was introduced to Gwen, it was love at first sight! They started dating, and were eventually married; sharing forty wonderful years together. In his free time, John could always be found taking his granddaughter Jorgi to the movies; these trips were some of his fondest memories. He was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Chris; and his older brother, Richard Mason.

In accordance with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. No public services have been scheduled.
