

Josephine Bizek (nee Grima), age 86, of Milford and Highland area; passed away peacefully on January 24, 2011. Mrs. Bizek was like a second mother to the whole family. She was a seamstress, homemaker, nanny, housekeeper and avid cook, just to name a few of her best qualities. She will be sadly missed because of her wonderful impact of everyone’s life that she has touched. Beloved wife of the late John Bizek; step-mother of the late Virginia, the late JoAnne, Bernadette, Alice, Christine; caring sister of John (Stella) Grima, Emily (the late Paul) Borg, the late Maria (the late John) Sammut, the late Theresa (the late Peter) Copperstone, the late Joseph (Maria) Grima; aunt of Aldo (Pauline), the late Iris (David), Nora (Tony), Anna (the late Michael), Max, Albert (Ivy), Mary Lynn (Alex), Mike (Hope), Carol (Maurice), Eddie (Rita), the late Bobby (Margaret), Mike (Sandy), Mary Ellen (Don), Joe (Karen), Godfrey, the late Norma, Ray, Mike, Orv (Peggy) and loved by many great-nieces, nephews and her step-grandchildren. The Mass of Resurrection will be on Monday, January 31, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins Road, White Lake. The visitation will be Sunday between the hours of 2 until 8 p.m. along with a Rosary Service at 6 p.m. at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road, Highland. Mrs. Bizek will lie in state at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass; interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Waterford. Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home for In-House Hospice.
