Joyce Marie Powers

Beloved wife of Mike for 61 years. Loving mother of Michael (Leslie) Powers, Jeffrey Powers and David Powers. Proud grandmother of Brittany (Josh) Cain and Nicholas (Samantha) Powers. Treasured great-grandmother of Annabelle, Beckett, JD, Sophie, Raegan and Harrison. Sadly she is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Bernadine Mitten and her two brothers, Tom and Larry Mitten.

Joyce was a very skilled seamstress. She was a talented wedding and bridesmaid dress designer. Her skill also led her to reupholstering not only furniture but boat and car seats. She will be remembered for her customization makeover of her 1976 car. Among her many interests; she was an avid football fan and loved watching her favorite teams which consisted of the Detroit Lions, the University of Michigan and the Indiana Hoosiers. Apart from her love of football, she also enjoyed cooking, sailing and volunteering at the Hope Town Museum in the Bahama's where she and her husband would reside on their houseboat. Her many talents and kind heart will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in her memory may do so to the Parkinson Foundation.
