I miss you more each day, my baby.  Nothing helps.  I feel like I'm in a nightmare that never ends.  I go to sleep only when I'm exhausted and wake up only to live the same day with the same feelings.  I miss you so much, baby.  

I remember the night before you died.  I rubbed your neck a little longer than usual.  You said it felt so good.  Then I kissed you good night and said, "Angels on your pillows and rose petals on your sheets, my love.  I love you so much!"  

You replied, "I love you so much!"  

You looked into my eyes and gave me a soft smile, I said, "Good night, baby"

You said, "Good night, sweetie."

Little did I know  Those would be the last words you ever said, and the last words from you I would ever hear.

I miss you so very much, Kyle.  I wish this was a nightmare.   I miss you, my baby.  

I remember I used to take your hand when I was driving, squeeze it twice and say, "My baby"  

You would always do the same squeeze and say, "My baby"

I miss you, Kyle Kaye Wittbrodt.  Life is so hard without you.

Our vacations in Mexico were always special.  We first started going for a week, but decided that was too short.  We tried two weeks, but that was too long.  We decided on ten days--it was perfect.  Our vacations were perfect--a time to relax, unwind, break-up the cold Michigan winters with 85 degree's in Puerto Vallarta. Due to having grandchildren, we put our vacations on hold, but recently had talked about going to the Florida Keys.   Both of us survived Covid so we recently started date nights again.   It is warming to know that she thought our last "date weekend" was perfect.   There is never enough time.  Remember that.  Treasure each moment.   Love like you've never loved before!

Kyle was one of my funniest, smartest, kindest and creative friends and she could always make me laugh until I cried!  Kyle guided me through so many experiences and has been one of my best and closest friend for years!  It never mattered how long it was in between chats we would start chatting like we had chatted yesterday.
 I met Kyle in 1985 when Eric and Melissa attended the same preschool. We used to take Tom and Sara to garage sales every Thursday and she would use her imagination to purchase things to make amazing Halloween costumes out of, or to repurpose to make into something else.  She started the Bunco group and created a bond of lifelong friendships filled with love, and for that I am forever grateful.  We would shop for fun, groceries, clothing,  the subdivision corn roast prizes and anything else we needed.   When the husbands came home from work, we would leave for shopping then sit in the snack bar at either K-Mart or Meijers and enjoy soda pops while we talked and talked.  We had so many fun adventures including birthday dinners out, shopping for clothes, (as and she was my stylist and a very sharp dresser) and of course our monthly Bunco gatherings, where we would talk and laugh until 2 am, on school nights!   
She has blessed my live is so many ways! She will be missed terribly and will always live on in all our hearts!  I am grateful for all we have shared and for all of the great memories! 


My wife was never happier than the days our grand children were born.  Every Thursday afternoon/night, Friday, until Saturday afternoon was filled with the love Kyle had for grandchildren.  Please say a prayer or send a thought to them.   They miss their "Gaba" dearly.
