Larry Micheal Roller

Larry Micheal Roller, age 78, of White Lake, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Barbara; his three sons: Scott (Bailey Thompson) Roller, Brent (Laura) Roller, and Kurt Roller; his four grandchildren: Gavin, Joelle, Reagan, and Shelby; his brother, George Roller; and his sister, Peggy (Greg) Fallows.

Larry was born June 5, 1944, in Detroit, the son of Mr. & Mrs. H. George and Rebecca (Mapes) Roller. In the 1960’s, Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army for four years. During his time in the service, Larry was stationed in various parts of the country as well as in Germany. Upon his discharge, he began his career at Diebold, where he worked for forty-two years handling banking equipment security systems. Larry was introduced to Barbara Hassett through friends at a drive-in restaurant, and it was love at first sight! Larry and Barbara fell in love, and were eventually married on August 13, 1971, sharing fifty-one wonderful years together. Larry was strong in his Catholic faith, and was a parishioner at Church of the Holy Spirit in Highland for many years. In his free time, Larry could always be found watching a Notre Dame ballgame or racing, and spending time with family. Some of Larry’s fondest memories were made on trips he took with his family to Hawaii, Alaska, and even Niagra Falls. He was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Cory Roller; and his two sisters: Mary and Lisa Roller.

In accordance with Larry’s wishes, cremation will take place. A Memorial Service will take place at 3:00 pm on Friday, January 20, 2023, at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road, Highland, Michigan 48356. Larry’s family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm.
