Sister of Diane (Gordon) Crawford, Mary (Charlie) Parrish, Richard Rainey and Donald (Susan) Rainey. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Sadly, she is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lottie Rainey along with three brothers, Raymond, David and Leon Rainey.
A long-time employee of Kroger, Linda carried herself with a steady diligence that spoke to a life of commitment and responsibility. She loved Jesus and knew him as her Lord and Savior. She was baptized at Market Street Church, and regularly attended Oak Pointe Church. She love to sing and praise Jesus while learning the word of God.
Linda’s days were often shaped by the simple, meaningful pleasures she loved most—shopping, gardening, and most of all cooking. She loved family get togethers. She was always making something delicious, which was one of the ways she expressed her love for her family. Her children and grandchildren were her world, she was always talking about how proud she was of them all. She also loved her fur grandbabies, all of her many dogs and even her fat 3 legged cat Peggy. She found joy in swimming and in the outdoors, especially in trips “up north” shared with family and friends. Above all, Linda’s greatest happiness came from her family, who were also her closest friends. Her kindness was felt in the way she cared, the way she welcomed others, and the way she gave of herself through time spent together—especially around the table. Linda will be dearly missed and forever loved by all.
