Born in Hazel Park, Michigan, on November 28, 1952, Marvin was the beloved son of Lyle and Doris Ealy.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife, Colleen Ealy; his children and stepchildren, David Ealy, Daniel (Kristin) Ealy, and Stephen (Wendy) Burns; and his cherished grandchildren, Emma, Brennan, Peyton, Ashley, and Evan. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Marvin will be remembered for his selfless heart, generous spirit, and wonderful sense of humor. He had a remarkable gift for making friends wherever he went and truly never met a stranger. A devoted animal lover, Marvin never left home without dog treats in his pocket, always ready to spoil every dog he met.
Above all else, Marvin's greatest joy was his family—especially his grandchildren. He treasured every opportunity to attend their sporting events, school activities, concerts, and special milestones, never wanting to miss a moment. His unwavering love and support will remain one of the greatest gifts he gave them.
Marvin found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time on the boat, searching for hidden treasures at garage sales, tending to his garden—especially his beloved tomato plants—and spending peaceful days on the water as an avid fisherman. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Marvin played college baseball and remained a devoted fan of baseball, football, basketball, and hockey throughout his life.
Marvin's kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know him will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marvin's memory to the Michigan Humane Society, Forgotten Harvest, or the Alzheimer's Association.
