Mary Louise Elliott

Mary Louise Elliott, age 54, of Highland, died Saturday, May 1, 2021, at her home. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Michael Emery Collier, Joshua John Farrell, Marguerite Elizabeth Elliott, and Arthur Trenton Elliott; her fifteen grandchildren: Jenna, Anjelina, Mary, Jasmine, Logan, Joshua, Kaylee, Carter, Ryder, Anthony, Conner, Amily, Rubianna, Zander and Michael Emery, II; her four siblings: David Collier, Bernadine Collier, Harold Collier, and Kenny (Cathy) Collier; her brother-in-law, Henry Metevia; and many other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.

Mary was born July 28, 1966, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Harold and Marguerite (Overbaugh) Collier. She and Arthur Alan Elliott were married on June 13, 1998, and shared twenty-one wonderful years together until Arthur’s death on July 30, 2019. Throughout her life, Mary was a stay-at-home-mom, taking care of her four children. In her free time, she enjoyed coloring in adult coloring books, sewing, taking care of her plants, and sitting around the bonfire with her family and friends. Mary held fond memories of road trips with her husband, Arthur, and annual family reunions in Tawas. She was a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marguerite; her husband, Arthur; and her sister, Patricia Collier.

In accordance with Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place on Friday, May 14, 2021, at 1:00 pm, at the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home Highland Chapel, 3295 East Highland Road, Highland, Michigan 48356. Mary’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
