Mike was one of the funniest people to ever live! I worked with Mike a lot in the early 80's at Pine Knob, loading trucks. We would always be there in the morning, then go to the bar for a few, or out on his boat on White Lake, and often didn't make it back at night for the out! That is where the "Louie" nickname was developed. "Louie the Loader."
I remember the night the Red Wings won the Stanley Cup for the first time in 42 years! Mike had tears in his eyes, he was so overwhelmed! Mike organized a hockey game between the Red Wing Alumni, Alex Delveccio, Gary Bergman, to name a few, against the Stagehands. I was one of the 2 goalies the Stagehands had. Bergman scored 6 times on me, and probably could have scored 10 more!

Louie was always a bright spot at the Wings games, and I enjoyed his company and his positive attitude. Gonna miss him! Prayers to his family.
