

Patricia Catherine Carter, age 85 of Highland Twp., Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a loyal friend, a devoted nurse and a compassionate member of the community. She leaves behind a legacy defined by kindness, generosity, and quiet acts of service. Pat touched countless lives through her caring heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering willingness to help others.
Pat dedicated her professional life to caring for those in need at Beaumont Hospital as a nurse. She began her nursing career in the hospital's burn unit, where she provided skilled and compassionate care to patients facing some of life's most difficult challenges. Later, she served in the labor and delivery ward, where she had the privilege of welcoming new life into the world. Her kind professionalism and comforting presence made a lasting impact on both her patients and colleagues. Pat also worked at the family business, keeping everything in the office in order.
Outside her career, Patricia was deeply committed to serving her community. As former secretary and member of the Huron Valley Optimist club, she devoted herself to making a positive difference in the lives of others. She and Doyle were known for helping people quietly and selflessly, never once seeking recognition. Pat was one of the sweetest people anyone could hope to know. She always had a warm smile, a caring heart, and a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued.
Patricia was the devoted wife of Doyle for over 65 years, a loving mother to Pam Carter, Scott (Jule Krueger) Carter and Carleen O'Brien; Proud grandmother of Ava, Helena and Phoenix; sister of Sharon Presley, Gail Pratt, Robert (Patricia) Kristich, Nancy (Tim) Sain and the late Mike Kristich.
