Robie L. Radford, age 95, died Monday, November 22, 2021, in Lapeer. Mrs. Radford was born July 20, 1926, in Paris, Tennessee, to Mr. & Mrs. Toy and Johnnie (Bradford) Lawrence. Mrs. Radford graduated from Cooley High School with the class of 1944. While working in the steno pool at General Motors, she met her future husband, Fritz Radford. They were married March 17, 1950. They lived in Dearborn, Union Lake, and White Lake. Mrs. Radford was the consummate homemaker and stay-at-home mom. Mrs. Radford is survived by her daughter, Robie (Ray) Wagester, of North Branch, daughter-in-law, Pamela Radford of Gregory Michigan, Lawrence (Kellye) of Columbus Ohio, Douglas (Andrea) of Sand Point ID, Russell (Nancy) of Reno Nevada, grandchildren Zach (Rachel) Wagester, Diane (Andrew) Biggs, Laura & Heather Radford, Larry Radford Jr, Michael, Daniel and April Radford, Brian Chapin, seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mrs. Radford was preceded in death by her husband, son Stanley, grandson Christopher Radford, her brothers Ed (Ruth), and Paul Lawrence, her sisters-in-law Frances Johnson, Kathleen Waggoner and their husbands and her parents.
Her family would like to thank the administrators and staff of Devonshire Retirement Village in Lapeer for all the love and care they provided for their mom for almost five years.
A memorial service will take place on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 11:00 am at the West Highland Baptist Church in Milford, Michigan.
