My very best , dearest , and oldest friend, Sarah. From the time we were five years old , when we walked together to school for the first day of kindergarten, we were the best of friends. There was never a day after that when we weren't at Sarah's house , playing card games--cribbage and "21," --riding our bicycles at breakneck speed around the block, riding up to the "forbidden "railroad tracks with fruit jars of water --tied to our handle bars with ropes--to quench our thirst ! If there was an adventure we could imagine, we tried it out. We were becoming "sisters" for the rest of our lives. One of the best times we had as adult women was several years ago when Sarah came from Michigan down here to Georgia to get me and we travelled to St. Pete Beach, Florida. How she loved just floating in that wonderful warm water, laughing and not quite believing that it was real. We were both carefree girls again. I love you, Sarah. May God grant you His eternal love, joy, and peace. (And please have a bicycle ready for me, too, when I get up there, Sarah Ellen! We are taking off again!)

I remember when I went to Florida to be in Laura's wedding. Mrs. Foreman made sure I felt included and welcome the entire time, always checking on me and making sure I felt like part of the family. She did the same whenever I went to visit with Laura at her home, I always felt comfortable and at home, because of her. I'm so sorry for your loss of a truly kind and wonderful person, my heart breaks for all of you. :(
