I am today learning of "uncle Shel's" passing, he was a dear friend of mine from many, many, years ago, and my children called him uncle, (when they were very young) because he was best friend of my husband, Bo Newsome.  They went to college together. My children and I last saw Shel in 1981, here in Tx., but we kept in touch through Christmas cards each year.  Shel kept me informed of the loves of his life, his children and grand children.  I am deeply saddened to learn of this news when looking online to obtain his phone number to say hello, since I've not received a Christmas card from him in the past couple of years.  He was a Godly man, the dearest friend of Bo Newsome.  Many blessings to his children, sincerely, Teri Newsome, Plano Tx.

What a sweet and lovely friend who we loved deeply. His bible study class was the most memorable for the way he let all of us share while he very gently pulled us back on track! We extend our deepest condolences for the whole family who are going to miss this man of God. When that trumpet sounds we all shall see him again! and then we can rattle on forever!

Shel had a tremendous impact on my life along with our entire family.  He was a true blessing from God our loving Father.  I look forward to catching up with Shel in eternity.

Shel was a family friend and true brother in Christ to my father - Terry Walker.  They were constant friends and confidants.  What a blessing he was to my Dad.  Please know that I will be praying for all of you.  Also know, that  I'm sure my Dad was overjoyed with his friend joining him in heaven.  Prayers, the hope of Jesus Christ eternal on all of you.

Shell was a great friend to all of us here at The Print Shop. He was always at our annual Michigan State/Michigan Tailgator, (20 years plus) as well as a special friend to my daughter Kats,  percheron horse, "Inky", including a special day together we had with his granddaughter and Inky spending a day together. I will always remember how your father would talk to us teens like what we said was important.  I always felt like he really listened to me and cared about what my opinion was, even though I was just a kid.  My prayers go out to you and your family during this time of great loss.  God Bless!
