Thomas Sonkiss, age 73, born September 15, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan and passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in Detroit, Michigan. Jeanne Sonkiss, age 71, born February 17, 1946 in Highland Park, Michigan and passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 in White Lake, Michigan. Thomas and Jeanne had just celebrated 50 years of marital bliss. Loving parents of Christopher (Lynn) Sonkiss, David (Gina) Sonkiss and Rebecca (Kathy) Sonkiss. Treasured grandparents of Shelby, Sophia, Shane, Spencer and Cate. They are survived by Thomas’s brother, Julius "Jim" (Pam) Sonkiss and Jeanne’s sister, Eileen (Kevin) Widdson. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 10:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00am at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road, Highland. Burial will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 1:00pm at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly.
