Timothy L. Tighe

Dear husband of Jan for 54 years. Loving father of Sarah (Britton) McCue and Katie (Matthew) Holden. Proud grandfather of Julia, Jackson, James and Stella. Son of the late John and Olga Tighe. Brother of Erin Munoz and the late Robert Tighe. Uncle of Tim (Deanne) Tighe, Mike (Marta) Tighe, Sean Munoz, Tracy (Sujal) Jani, David (Marnie) Mielke, Christopher (Lori) Mielke, Cathy (Don) Fowler, Vicky (Randy) Bernstein and Chrissy (Mike) Lemnios.

Tim was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council 8500 in Highland. He was a long time volunteer at the St. Leo's Soup Kitchen in Detroit. Fishing was his passion! Known as the "World's Best Walleye Fisherman", he could filet and fry his catch like no one else. He loved cooking, barbecuing, playing poker and the Lotto. As his sign says, posted in the garage, he is "GONE FISHING".

Friday, October 25, 2024 at St. Rita Catholic Church, 309 E. Maple Street in Holly, there will be an Honor Guard Presentation by the Knights of Columbus at 10:30 am. A Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. David Blazek will begin at 11:00am. Following the mass, Mr. Tighe will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly at 12:30pm.
