hey its the first grandson landyn wiley i just wanna say that im sad that shes not here to support me in person but like my parents and papa said, shes in a better place now and shes cheering when i score in hockey. :)

When I heard the news my heart was deeply saddened.  TJ was beautiful inside and outside.  Very loving person that I will forever cherish the memories knowing her. She is greatly missed. My prayers and condolences to her entire family.

My name is Larry.  Although I never met TJ in person, I had the pleasure of sharing both a professional and a very close personal relationship with her for nearly 20 years. I did not know about her illness until just a year or two ago. TJ never wanted to focus on her problems but was always interested in hearing about other people. I would sometimes hang up the phone after speaking to her and I would so admire her courage.  I thought to myself I could never have the courage she had if the situation was reversed. She always wanted to know how I was doing after losing our daughter to a tragic death. She would never talk or complain about her suffering. To me, that is what stood out most about TJ. 
She was a firm negotiator but always countered it with extreme fairness and professionalism. I so admired her and always enjoyed our conversations aside from business. TJ and I were suppose to get together for lunch and finally meet in person this spring at Sweetest Heart of Mary Church in Detroit to view the restoration of the steeples. I so regret that will not take place. But, knowing her the way I did and the way she made you feel so close, I am truly grateful for that alone.

To the family of "TJ" Thelma Garrett:  I was so saddened by the news of TJ's passing away.  I had the opportunity to work with her on several wireless projects and was always impressed with her knowledge of the industry and patience she had in difficult situations.  I learned a lot from her.  TJ will be missed but never forgotten.

TJ was always working, she always had a smile for you and she always made it seem so easy.  No matter the issue she was always reassuring and confident. She took everything thrown at her in stride and just kept pushing forward, she will be sorely missed.

I have nothing but heartfelt sympathy for her family, she was one of a kind.

TJ and I met when she was pregnant with Brandon, you moved in across the street from us.  We became friends instantly.  You were always so much fun to be with and so loving with your kids.  Brandon, Jennifer and Jeff praying for you during this hard time that you find peace in knowing that mom will always be with you.  You have beautiful memories to hold close to your hearts.  

TJ was one of the best people I had the pleasure of working with and a beautiful soul.   The love and passion for life she exhibited is an example for all of us to follow.  

I knew TJ back in middle school and high school and had lost touch a long time ago. We were very close at the time and it is amazing how those memories are so vibrant. She made the lives around her shine then and as I read her obituary it seems that didn’t change.
My prayers go out to the love ones in her life and pray that her brightness will live on in her children and grandchildren. God Bless.

We had some wonderful times raising our kids together. Even needing the fire department to get my kids arm out of the pooltable. Wonderful girl trips, Houseboat trips. You were a strong beautiful women. Fly free my friend. I love you and will miss you.

Your mom was the first room-mom I worked with at the schools. We started at Round Ele together and followed each other to Village and beyond. She was a pleasure and a hoot to work with through the school years and in the cellular field. I feel fortunate to have been by her side at many of meetings and learn the ropes together. TJ was a "light" whenever she came into the MetroPCS office.  I loved to hear her laugh.   I will never forget her presenting me with one of her famous pumpkin breads...she went out of her way, just to bring one to me- a small sample of her heart.  She will be missed by everyone.  TJ made a difference in my life!  My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

TJ is one of the first women I met in wireless more than 25 years ago. She was passionate, knowledgeable, and most importantly, always willing to dance on a table. I'll miss TJ's smile and laughter and send my condolences to her family.


TJ will be membered for her passion, thoughtfulness, grace and kindness. God's blessings be upon her, her family and all who knew her.

TJ, you will be missed. You knew your stuff, and were willing to share your telecom wisdom to any of us that asked. I learned a lot from you over the 21 years we knew each other.
