William Austin Bishop

William Austin Bishop, age 66, of Milford, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023, at his home. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Amy; his two children: Jessica (Mike) Prieskorn, and Ken Bishop; his grandson, Michael Prieskorn; his two siblings: Rob Bishop, and Nancy Lichon; and his mother, Carol Bishop.

William was born December 5, 1956, in Highland Park, the son of Mr. & Mrs. William and Carolyn (Barton) Bishop. Throughout his adult life, William worked as a motorcycle mechanic for a number of places; including the Motor City Harley Dealership, where he coincidentally met Amy Sanborn. William and Amy began dating in 1999, fell in love, and were eventually married in 2013. Through the years together, William and Amy opened their own shop; Bishop’s Performance, where they served customers for almost ten years. In his free time, William loved drag racing motorcycles. It was always a great day when he got to go out to the racetrack with Amy! He was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed.

William was preceded in death by his father, William Ellis Bishop; and his brother, Steve Bishop.

In accordance with William’s wishes, cremation will take place.
