

Bill and his childhood sweetheart Janet grew up living directly next door to each other in Westland, Michigan. In 1967, they were married and remained married for 58 years. Highland, Michigan was their hometown throughout their marriage.
He graduated from Milford High School in 1964. He joined General Motors in 1965 starting out as a tool and die maker. He was drafted in 1966 to the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army, where he honorably served his country. After serving in the military, he resumed employment at General Motors and was employed for 38 years. He retired in 2005 as a supervisor from the Pontiac, Michigan plant.
He adored living on White Lake, relishing all the lake festivities with his family and friends. He enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, and in his later years exploring the Great Lakes. One of his favorite lake activities was pulling his children parasailing along with all the neighborhood kids. Bill and Janet cherished traveling and their many vacations together.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Nunnery, preceded by his brother Leonard Nunnery and survived by his other siblings, Gary and Vernetta Nunnery and Sharon Drendall. Bill was a devoted Father to three children: Bill and April Nunnery; Susie (Nunnery) DiFiori and Tim Malley; Danny and Tara Nunnery; and loving Grandfather (Papa) to his six grandchildren: Cole and Cade Nunnery; Sabrina and Cameron DiFiori; Sophia and Lawson Nunnery.
