Elizabeth Faye West

Elizabeth Faye West, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away on November 2nd, 2025, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Even in her final moments, Faye’s warmth, humor, and kindness never faded. These qualities defined her life and touched everyone who knew her. She opened her home and heart to all, caring deeply for family, friends, and anyone who needed a place to belong. She had a true gift for cooking and was known for preparing enough food to feed an army, even when only a few guests were at her table. She was also the most incredible Mama and best friend to her daughter.

Preceded in death were her husband Dave West; parents George Clayton Reavis and Ellen Joy Reavis; and brothers, Lloyd and Ray Reavis. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Tami Rae and Bobby Johnson; grandchildren Patrick Smith (Savannah), Gabrielle Johnson, Hannah Taylor (Phillip), and Alyssa Johnson, all of Knoxville; sister Debbie Smith (Hal) of Birchwood, TN; and brother Floyd (Vikki) Reavis of Birchwood, TN; and many nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 11:00-12:30 PM at Hamilton Funeral Home 4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson, TN. with Graveside service to follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens 5351 Highway 153, Hixson, TN with Justin Smith officiating.
