Genevera Brink

She was born on November 25, 1919 in West Unity, Ohio to the late Forrest and Mary (Eicher) Short. She married Charles F. Brink on June 18, 1950 and he preceded her in death on November 3, 1976.

She was a faithful member of St. John’s United Church of Christ. She was a retired school teacher and also was church secretary. She received her Bachelors Degree in education from Bowling Green State University.

She is survived by nephews and nieces, Carl (Catherine) Kuenzli of Kokomo Indiana, Wayne Kuenzli of Mansfield, Ohio, Alan Kuenzli of Nevada, Ohio, and Kay (Terry) Dyer of Nevada, Ohio; eight great-nieces and nephews; four sister-in-laws, Dorothy Timmons and Janet Cooper, both of Wauseon, Ohio, Margaret (Gale) Wolf of Arizona, and Linda (Gary) Gessner of Napoleon, Ohio. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Donelda Short and Dolores Kuenzli.

The Family would like to also recognize her second family the caregivers at Vancrest who cared for her through the years with such kindness and love.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 25, 2012 at the St. John’s United Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M until time of services at the church. Burial will follow in St. John’s United Church of Christ Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the burial in the church fellowship hall.
