Michael "Mike" Schwab

Michael “Mike” Schwab 64 of Holgate passed away May 21, 2014 at the Lutheran Home of Napoleon Ohio. Born on August 16, 1949 in Defiance to Elmer and Lillian (Okuley) Schwab. Graduated from Holgate High School. Loving husband to the late Elaine (Huber) Schwab and united in marriage to Mary Jo “Joey” ( Treft) Schwab on June 5, 1993.

Survived by his mother Lillian (Okuley) Chinni, Children Michelle (Kris) Kyle of Napoleon Ohio and Shawn (Jenny) Schwab of Auborn Indiana. Grandfather of Parker, Eli and Brady. Also survived by siblings; Joyce Vance of Michigan, William Schwab of Ohio, Sharon (Howard) Neff of Ohio, Richard (Diane) Schwab of Indiana and Mary Jo (Gary) Brown of Ohio.

Preceded in death by his father Elmer John Schwab, son Todd, brother in law Larry Vance and sister n law Susan Schwab.

Mike was known as a joker and prankster, always smiling and laughing. He loved playing board games , card games and video games. He also loved to read.

Visitation for Mike will be at Snyder Funeral Home 209 N. Wilhelm St. Holgate Ohio on Friday May 23, 2014 from 2p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Saturday May 24 at Snyder Funeral Home starting at 11:00 a.m. with one hour of visitation prior to the Funeral service. Pastor Rellstab will officiate. Interment will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Holgate. Please make memorials to St. John Lutheran Church of Holgate or to the family.
