Vincent C. Okuley

Born July 31, 1924 in Hamler to the late William and Helena (Wagner) Okuley. On October 11, 1947 he married Rosella A. Michaelis and she preceded him in death on October 6, 2000.

Vincent was a life long Henry County farmer and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Holgate. He was also a social member of the New Bavaria VFW.

He is survived by two sons, William J. Okuley of Centennial, Colorado, Michael J. (Natalie) Okuley of Leipsic, Ohio ; daughter, Nancy Ann (Harvey) Hogrefe of Hamler, Ohio; six grandchildren, Francis Hogrefe, Jason Hogrefe, Mathew Okuley, Kelly Okuley, Jonathon Okuley and Jessica Brown; and 10 great-grand children.

Friends will be received on Thursday, August 18, 2011, from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Holgate, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 19, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate, Father Stephen Stanbery, officiating. Burial follows in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
