Alberta (Bert) was born March 20, 1929 in East Saugatuck to John and Hattie (Kempker) Ortman. She was a member of West Olive CRC and in her later years, worked as a cashier at Target.
Preceding her in death was her husband James Miedema in 2013.
She is survived by her children, Kris (John) Ermatinger, James D. Miedema, Jodi (Tom) Clarke, Amy Miedema-Barba; Grandchildren, Sarah (Chris), Laura (Nathan), Travis, Angela, and Stepfanie; Great Grandchildren, Luke, Liam, Joseph, and Adleigh; siblings Sherman Ortman, Beverley (William) Tamminga, Harold (Jan) Ortman; In-laws, Louise Ortman, Kathy (Dennis) Merizon; many extended family and friends.
A private burial and graveside service will take place at Lakeshore Cemetery in Grand Haven.
Memorial contributions in memory of Alberta may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice in Allegan.
