Albertha Martinie

A resident of Wyoming, Michigan, Albertha went to be with her Lord and Savior, who she walked faithfully with for all of her life. She was a dedicated homemaker who took great joy in baking and cooking wonderful meals for her family and friends. One of her most cherished roles was caring for children in her home, a job she truly enjoyed. Albertha also found pleasure in gardening alongside her husband of 64 years, and she had a particular fondness for her flowers.

Her life was marked by her devotion to her family and her love for nurturing both people and plants. Albertha's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Albertha is survived by: her children, Mark Martinie, Beth (Steve) DeVries, Karl (Dawn) Martinie, and Kathy (Doug) Knight; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Floyd Meiste, Marv (Connie) Meiste, and Gary Meiste; sisters, Helene (Rog) Machiela, Dorothy DeRoo, Karen Meiste, and Barb (Dale) Lamberts; and several nieces and nephews.

Albertha was preceded in death by: her husband, Floyd Martinie; parents, John and Janet Meiste; sisters, Hazel Dozeman, Florence Lubbers, and Geneva VanderKolk; brother, John Meiste; and grandson, Steven DeVries Jr.

A visitation will be held at Lakeshore Memorial Services, located at 11939 James St., Holland, Michigan, 49424, on January 12, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at Eastmanville United Reformed Church, 6845 Leonard St., Coopersville, MI, 49404, on January 13, 2026, at 11:00 am, with a visitation one hour prior.
