Albino Rios, 89, passed away at Holland Hospital in Holland, Michigan, on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, after a brief illness. He was born in April of 1931 in San Bernado, Durango, Mexico. Albino was a dedicated family man who was raised to be an avid hard worker. Since he was an adolescent, he worked day in and day out because of the greater need to serve his family. He moved his family to Michigan so that they could have a better quality of life. Albino reached his goal in life which was to raise a strong family and instill quality values within each and every one of them. Albino loved to conversate for hours about anything, with anyone and anywhere. The stories that he shared with the most minor detail envisioned were the subtle hints that made you realize that he really paid attention. A self-taught reader who had such a positive outlook on life, he loved to read and write about anything. He cherished the little things, saw beauty within them all, and loved to share that. He sought justice for all of his family and cared deeply for every one of them. A carefree and selfless man that will be forever missed truly within all of our hearts. Fond memories of stories, jokes, smirks, and laughs from our loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather will be cherished forever.
Albino Rios would say that he had lived a good life, raised a good family, and was ready whenever his day would come. He was ready to rest in peace with his grandson Ramiro Mireles, who passed away in October of 2019.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dometila Rios, son-in-law Marcos Rendon, grandson Ramiro Mireles and siblings Eusebio Rios, Gabriel Rios, Juana Rios Ruiz, Lucia Rios Leon. Albino is survived by his children Diana and Jose Mireles, Albino and Dalia Rios, Jose Luis and Chavela Rios (Mexico), Norma Huerta, Juana Rios Rendon, and Rosa Rios.
