Allan Russel White

Allan Russel White, age 84, passed away on September 17, 2026. Born February 13, 1942, Allan lived a life marked by steady purpose, quiet strength, and a deep sense of responsibility to both family and community.

Allan graduated from Allegan H.S. in 1960. He later earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and built a career as a food buyer, retiring from Johnson Controls. His work reflected the same reliability and conscientious care that defined so many parts of his life.

Allan’s dedication extended beyond his home. He served others as a Kalamazoo firefighter and gave his time as a volunteer for (CASA), acting as a court appointed child advocate for children who were neglected or abused; work that spoke to his steadfast compassion and commitment to doing what was right. A loving father Allan was devoted to his family. An outdoorsman and hunter, he also found meaning and renewal in the natural world, carrying that same constancy and purpose into the life he built and the people he protected.

Allan is survived by his sons, Marc Allan (Laura) White and David Eugene (Lynn) White. He was a proud grandparent to Keith White (Ashley Kelly), Brandon (Debra) White, Daniel (Caitlin) White, Rachel White Duong (Vichet), and Gabriel White. He is also survived by great-grandchildren Caleb and Jonah White; Caden, Declan, Aven White; and Sothea and Soriya Duong; and his twin sister, Ann Kling; Justin Kling and Tammy Kling; and many nieces and nephews.

Allan was preceded in death by his brother, George White, and by his parents, George and Mildred; brother-in-law, Dick Kling; nephew Tom Kling.

Allan will be remembered with respect and gratitude, and his legacy will endure in the family he loved and the lives he served.

A visitation will take place at 6611 Prairie Winds Dr. Zeeland, MI 49464 on October 24th, 2026 from 3-4 with a Celebration of Life to follow.
