Arlene Joyce Mokma

Arlene was born in Holland to Clarence and Gertrude Venstra. She married Ronald Mokma and together they had four children. Arlene retired from John Thomas Batts after 30 years of service. She is fondly remembered for the love she had for her family and the special times spent with her grandchildren. She was known for making her special chocolate pie and sharing her joy of baking with her family.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Gertrude; her husband of 56 years, Ronald; and her youngest son Steven Mokma.

Arlene is survived by her sister Shirley (Robert) Baker of Longwood, FL; son Brian Mokma of Holland; son Kevin Mokma of Zeeland; and her daughter Ellen Mokma also of Holland; Grandchildren Heather (Ben) Otis, Amber Mokma (Chris Harkness), Bethany (Ryan) Webb, Hannah (Louis) Besteman, Emily Mokma, Kyle Mokma, and Meghan (Ryan) Haaksma. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 29 at Parkside Bible Church - 14461 James St, Holland, MI 49424 from 1:00-3:00 PM.
