In gratitude to Our Lord for His providence, we bid a loving farewell to Berend (Bernie) Klompmaker, 95 – husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. He was welcomed into the loving arms of his Lord and savior Jesus on Friday, December 2, 2022. Born August 3,1927 in Laar, Germany to Evert and Aleida Klompmaker, he emigrated to the United States in May, 1954, newly wed to Dina Ten Brink.

He took delight in a well-cared for yard and home, crypto puzzles, books and theological books and discussions. Teaching Catechism classes and participating in Bible studies added to his joy.
Bernie is survived by: his children, Rick (Beth) Klompmaker, John (Jan) Klompmaker, Gary (Dave) Klompmaker, Anita (Dave) VanDeBurg; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Bernie was preceded in death by: his wife, Dina; and eight of his brothers and sisters in Germany, the Netherlands, and Holland, Michigan.
