Born was on September 5, 1952 to Robert and Alberta (Lyons) Zimmer in Holland, Michigan. Bert had an interesting and challenging life. From helping on his grandparents blueberry farm to becoming an engineer, to then becoming a certified mechanic; he was always busy. He enjoyed working on all things mechanical, and loved "playing" with his chainsaws and watching his herd of deer.
Bert is survived by: Elizabeth, Donald, Tonja and Joseph.
