Blanca Arvizu

Blanca was born in Weslaco, Texas. Her family moved to Michigan in 1959, and she settled down in Holland in 1973. Blanca was an enthusiastic dancer in her youth, and it was at one of these dances that she caught the eye of Marcos Arvizu. They would later get married and raise their family in Holland. Family was always important to Blanca – from cooking for them, to caring for them, there was nothing she wouldn’t do to support those she loved.

Blanca was preceded in death by her parents Audon and Eugenia Saldibar, and a brother Audon Saldibar Jr.

She is survived by her beloved husband Marcos, who stood by her side for 40 years;

Her children: Melissa Arvizu, Sofia Arvizu, Gonzalo (Marisol) Arvizu, Jesus (Juanita) Arvizu

Grandchildren: Zaphire, Bianca, Sofia, Mireya, Raul, Luna, Jessie, Jesus Jr., and Nicole

Her brother and sisters: Joan Saldivar, Diana Soto, Angel Saldibar, Julia and Adrian Ortega, Alicia Davidson, Patricia Saldibar

Many beloved nieces and nephews

A service in her honor will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Lakeshore Memorial Services in Holland, at 11:00am. Burial will take place in North Holland Cemetery.
