Camelia was born on July 18th, 1951 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Aurelio De Luna and Adela Hererra. She moved to Holland, MI in 1966. Camelia was a wonderful woman, beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend who devoted her whole life to her family. Camelia always wanted her own taco stand or restaurant and that is why she loved to cook for everyone. Everything made her laugh, especially her clumsy daughter falling all the time. Even when she fell, she’d laugh and oh my, did she ever laugh. One of Camelia’s proudest moments were, seeing all her grandkids, nieces, and nephews achievements in life. Camelia worked at Life Savers for 23 years. Not only did Camelia love to cook but her cooking went straight to people’s hearts. She never measured, she would say “a little bit of this and a little bit of that, NOT too much salt. Ha Ha”. Camelia loved to listen to her Tejano music. She loved to dance and loved to spend all day at the beach and watch the sunset. Camelia loved lots of music, to include, Sonny and the Sonliners, Little Joe, Jay Perez, Michael Sulgado, Emilo Nivida, Jimmy Edwards, and the list goes on. Camelia loved planning dinners, parties, and holidays. She enjoyed all her family around her eating, playing games, Mexican bingo, cards, etc. Camelia had a beautiful smile and she used it all the time. She will be greatly missed.
