Catherine Hofman Folkert

Kay was born on December 4, 1921, to Robert and Dena Vander Molen in Lucas, MI. She was a wonderful wife and much loved mother to her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children Berdena (Darrell) Ham, Brandt (Carolyn) Hofman, Dorinda (Roger) Wiersma, Gary (Mary Lou) Hofman, and Nadene (Bill) Hunt; by her step-children Barb (Glen) Meyaard, Karen Assink, and Roland (Loretta) Folkert. Kay is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Joyce Vander Molen and brother-in-law Rev. Leonard J. Hofman.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 23, at 11 a.m. at the Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church located at 1571 Baldwin Street in Jenison. Visitation will be held at Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church on Wednesday, April 22, from 4-6 p.m. and on Thursday at 10 a.m., one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place later at Winchester Cemetery in Bryon Center.
