Born in Holland, Cliff was a lifelong resident. He was a charter member Beechwood Reformed Church and worked 36 years for Chris-Craft as a foreman in the finishing department. Cliff was proud of the fact that he never spent a day of his life in the hospital.
He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel Plakke, March 26, 2010 and a granddaughter, Sandra Prins in 2010.
Cliff is survived by his children: Carol and Don Rumbles of Hubbard Lake, MI, Ted and Mila Plakke of West Olive, Sally and Lee Prins of Zeeland, Jack and Deni Plakke of Holland, Pat and Dave Van Dyke of Cedar, MI; 9 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; brother-in-law, Gene and Betty Marcus of North Canton, Ohio; many extended family friends.
A private memorial service will take place at a later date.
