Dale met the love of his life, Sharon (deceased), in July of 1967 and knew she was 'the one'. Six weeks later they were married on August 21 of that year. Together, they raised their daughter Shelley and son Michael (deceased) in a loving home. Dale was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, known for his mischievous smile, sweet tooth, and love for the outdoors, especially fishing and gardening. He cherished family time, often enjoying naps amidst the noise of loved ones or quietly settled at home watching Westerns with his little doggie sitting on his lap.
Dale is survived by his daughter Shelley (Dennis) O’Regan; grandchildren Erin and Nolan Potgeter, Nevin Klingenberg, Heather Klingenberg, Joshua VandenBosch, Isabelle Jasper Bennett (Daniel Brady), Nikolas Levi Bennett, and Jessie Bahm; brothers Warren Bennett and Melvin Bennett; sisters Phyllis Westfahl and Linda Archuleta; many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He is reunited with his wife Sharon, his parents, son Michael, brother Loren, sister Tena Sample, and grandson, Jacob. Dale was heartbroken after losing his Honey earlier this year, but family finds some comfort knowing they are once again laughing, hugging, and being their silly selves again in the presence of their Savior Jesus.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Lakeshore Memorial Services, with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by a 2:00PM service led by Pastor Tony Barber and small luncheon to follow. All who knew Dale are invited to remember his life and share memories of this remarkable man.
