

Dale was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and was a former member of First CRC of Zeeland and Drenthe CRC. He retired from Keeler Brass of Grand Rapids, loved golf, softball and was an avid bowler.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Marian, in 2002; brothers, Earl (Bernice) and Ken Engelsman; sisters in law, Arloa Koning and Carolyn Otten; and brothers in law, Harv Geerlings and Gene Michielsen .
Dale is survived by his wife of 11 years, Ruth Engelsman; children, Bob and Cindy Dozeman of Holland, Jack and Nancy Engelsman of Hudsonville, John and Diane Schwartz of Hudsonville; brothers and sisters, Lee and Diane Engelsman of Zeeland, Betty and Dick Van Order of Zeeland; brothers and sisters in law, Joanne Engelsman of Zeeland, Ang Geerlings of Zeeland, Ruth Michielsen of Holland, Ken Koning of Holland, Rose and George Bouma of Holland, Bob and Linda Geerlings of Zeeland, Ethel and Claus Steenwyk of Hudsonville, Herb Otten of Zeeland, Paul and Jan Geerlings of Zeeland, Ev and Ron Brouwer of Zeeland, Dave and Linda Geerlings of Holland; aunt, Susie Klein; grandchildren, Dean and Jessica Dozeman, John and Heidi Dozeman, Alecia and John VandenBerg, Jared and Staci Engelsman, Kaylee and Adrian deLange, Brandon Schwartz, Tyler Schwartz, Connor Schwartz; great grandchildren, Clayton Dozeman, Reid Dozeman, Trey Dozeman, Callista Dozeman, Lucy Dozeman, Oliver Dozeman, Kamryn VandenBerg; step children, Cindy and Gene Hiemstra, Dale and Gayle Vegter, Sandy and Phil Holtrop, Kelly and Richard Brouwer; 18 step grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, December 28, 2015, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1015 East 32nd Street, Holland, MI, with Reverend Bernard Mulder officiating. Burial will take place at Zeeland City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm, Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street, Holland, MI, and for one hour prior to the funeral at Covenant Presbyterian Church from 10:00-11:00am.
Memorial contributions may be made to Zeeland Christian School.
