Dale was a charter member of Rose Park Reformed Church and was a lifelong resident of the Holland/Zeeland area. Dale retired from Holland Motor Express after 46 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Cornelia in 2014; and 2 sons, Jerry Van Slooten and James Van Slooten.
Dale is survived by his son, Jack (Cathy) Van Slooten of Holland; Daughters-in-law, LuAnne Van Slooten and Theresa Bouwman of Holland; 8 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Van Slooten; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be 2:00pm Monday, December 21, 2015 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland. Rev. David Van Opstall officiating. Burial was in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
Visitation will be from the time immediately following the service on Monday until 4pm at the funeral home.
