My condolences to Danny's family and friends. I have a lot of memories of Dan, having worked with him for over 40 years. We first met back in 1970 when we both got out of the service and i started at Bohn. We had a lot in common and shared interests. I'll always remember him as "Dan", one of the good ole boys.

(Bestfriend of lynnzie)- I've know Danny since the summer of kindergarten when me and his daughter Lynnzie Gilley became friends. Ever since then her mother (Renee Gilley), Danny Gilley, and my mother raised us two. He was my run away father. Lynnzie and I would always like to touch his car or get in it to pretend that we where driving because he would never let us touch his car. He would tell at us when he would catch us.

(Bestfriend of lynnzie), Everytime I would come over he would smile at me and greet me in and say he missed me. Everytime I would fall asleep on the couch he would come after work, check on me and shine a flashlight in my face to make sure I was sleeping. He was like another dad to me that protected me like he would with his own child.

I can hear Danny right now yelling at Mike and Steve for something like when we were kids. The best thing I remember is Danny bringing us down some dinner every so often from family fare. “Chicken dinner” damn that was very generous of him to do that. Or was it just a excuse to go for a booze cruise. Who knows maybe it was just because he missed his boys and he knew they would be there he’ll I bet he was checking in on them making sure they were ok.
