Dave was born in Holland to Allen and Anna (Bekius) Taylor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam Era. Dave retired from Prince Machine, was a member of Fellowship Reformed Church, and was a passionate Chicago Cubs fan.
Dave is survived by his wife Gail (Koopman) of 50 years; children, Wendy & Chad Holstege (Taylor, JD & Lauren Otteman, Jake & Lizzie Holstege) of Holland, Russell& Amy Taylor (Dylan & Colton Taylor)of Bitely, DeAnn & Greg Carpenter (Grayson & Weston Carpenter) of Spring Lake, and Debra Taylor & Dave Dannels (David, Alex & Kayleigh Dannels) of Holland; siblings, Barb & Don Hulst of New York, Carol & Jonny Keen of Holland, Cal Taylor & Beth De Jonge of Hamilton; in-laws, Sydelle Kroll, Karen & Don Kane, Linda & Paul Volkers, Helen Koopman all of Holland; many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Dave’s life will be 1:30pm Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Fellowship Reformed Church, 2165 W. Lakewood Blvd., Holland. Officiating will be Rev. Jim Baar and Rev. Nate Schipper.
Visitation will be Monday, December 3, from 3-5pm and 7-9pm at Fellowship Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice or Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
