Dave was born July 7, 1941 in Holland to John and Fenna (Slenk) Wehrmeyer. Dave graduated from Holland High School (class of 1959) and worked as a Lab Chemist for Parke Davis, Warner Lambert, and eventually Pfizer. He married Gayle (Steketee) in 1961.
Dave was an avid golfer, a former board member of the Holland Country Club, manager for the Ottawa County Fair for many years, and a member of Calvary Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Patricia VanderSchel.
Dave is survived by his wife Gayle of 59 years; son Todd (Jan) Wehrmeyer and their children John, Nick, and Maggie; daughter Jodie (Dean) Ferrell, and their son Adam (Margaret) Assink; sisters Mary (Dick) Hilbink, Joanne Green, Judi (Tim) Snow; nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Dave’s life will be 11:00am Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Calvary Reformed Church, 995 E. 8th St., Holland. Rev. Ron Beyer will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6-8:00pm Monday, August 16 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland.
