Diane was born in Saginaw, MI March 25, 1948 to Arthur and Doris (Benzenberg) Bender, and spent most of her life in the Holland area.
She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and Evergreen Commons, and spent many hours volunteering for Community Action House. In her spare time, Diane enjoyed spending time with her cats, doing jigsaw puzzles, but most important to her was spending time with husband Carl, her children, and especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Diane is survived by her husband Carl of 55 years; son Kevin (Moriah) Oberlin; daughter Michelle (Isaac) Newell; grandchildren Rowan and Millie; sister Kathie (Daniel) Schwich; in-laws Colene (James) Peterson and Paul (Cathy) Oberlin; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
A memorial celebration of life for Diane is being planned and will be announced soon.
