

Dorothy Batema, 93, of Holland, passed away March 5, 2020 at home under hospice care with family by her side. Dorothy was born in Halesowen, England, to Gilbert and Frances (Bath) Llewellyn on January 31, 1927.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Batema in 1976. She worked for the Ottawa County Prosecutor's Office until her retirement. Dorothy enjoyed summer vacations at Big Star Lake and also just being outdoors. She was very involved in genealogy and spent many hours on research.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Steven (Paula), Donald (Roseanne), Lorraine, and David (Diana). And by grandchildren Shane (Sandy), Shawn, Michelle, Melissa (Damien) Hue, Lynn (Ross) Colley, Dane, Cara, Melody (Jaime) Wright, Bonnie Buning, Andrew (Andy Kauffman) Buning, Katheryn (Brandon) Lawson and Benjamin Batema. And by great-children Anthony, Sasha, Dakota Radloff, Heather, Trey Hue, Mia Hue, Ariana Colley, Elyse Colley, Kayleigh Lawson and Logan Lawson as well as five great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10 at 10am and the funeral at 11am, at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street, Holland.
