I have many wonderful memories of Elmer. We worked together at Hubbell Manufacturing in Zeeland, way back in the early '70's. I was the factory supt. and he was the cabinet room foreman (that's my memory at least). Working together, we got to know each other quickly and shared many a laugh and also many a serious moment sharing his past experiences. I'm now 80, so he was 11 years older than I and we bonded deeply and shared many a testimony to God's grace and healing. He was a blessing to me!

Elmer and Cora were special. My own declining health prevents me from being present either at Elmer's visitation hours or at his funeral.

Elmer as a member of the board of the League of Christian Laymen, about 13 years ago, offered support and encouragement that enabled me-- then as a representative of the Middle East Reformed Fellowship - to make a successful presentation to his board.
