George Fenton

George was an avid sports fan, rooting for his favorite team the Michigan Wolverines whenever he had the chance. In his younger years, he served as a local umpire and referee for football, softball, and basketball games. After serving his country in the United States Army, George moved back home and worked at General Electric, working there for 30 years until his retirement. In retirement, George drove for local car dealerships, a role where he met many people and even made some friends along the way. He and his family enjoyed spending time having picnics together, and he cherished moments with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

George is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 59 years Karol;

Children: Tracy and Bryan Hunley, Terri Fenton, Ross Fenton, Holly Fenton

Grandchildren: Bradley and Amanda Harmsen, Jessica Fenton, Zac Hunley, Katelyn Harmsen, Logan Harmsen

Great-grandchildren: Broden, Ellie, and Emersyn Harmsen

Sister Helen and Nick Sunlin

Sister and brother-in-law Georgia and David Brown

Special friends Merle and Alys Edgel

The family will be gathering privately at a later date.
